technique, movement creation, or repertory of classical and contemporary ballet, flamenco, Argentine Tango, and more. We are happy to create an individualized experience to suit a variety of interests, needs, and budgets. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT 'CHANCE' PROGRAMS
Neville Dance Theatre offers four Chance Programs which bring a wide variety of opportunities to community members, offering people of diverse ages, ethnicities, and socio-economic backgrounds a chance to get more directly involved in the arts.
Chance to DANCEThrough open auditions and curated panel selection, children and teens ages 7-17 are provided opportunities to study and perform alongside NDT artists.
Involvement can include learning company repertory, rehearsing alongside company artists, and performing onstage in company productions. |
Chance to ADVANCEInternships and volunteer opportunities allow individuals to gain real world experience in the arts. Opportunities are provided in the areas of arts administration, production, wardrobe, social media, marketing, development, fundraising, and more.
Participants have include: Israel Harris (Social Media & Marketing), David Claps (Development), Leah Brizzard (Photography), Virginia Mottla (Stage Management), Anton Leon & William Chen (Performance), and Violaine O’Keefe (Rehearsal & Production assistant). |
Chance to CHOREOGRAPHDance makers at all stages in their careers are given opportunities to create new works on our company, to be presented within our productions and seasons. Selectee's are provided with rehearsal space, NDT company dancers, recognition, and promotion to have their works seen. Creations may become part of our permanent repertory, to be performed for audiences for years to come.

Chance for TICKETSDonor contributions can be earmarked for the purchase of performance tickets, which are then provided to local, partnering non-profit organizations, many of whom serve at-risk children, in-need families, and senior citizens, enabling them to attend our performances for free.
Partnering organizations have include: The Boys & Girls Club, Groundwork Inc., Homes for the Homeless, and the Ronald McDonald House. |

PRIVATE COACHING AND CUSTOMIZED CLASSES
ARGENTINE TANGOLearn the passion and intrigue of Argentine Tango in a fun and welcoming environment. Great for dancers of all backgrounds and at all levels of experience. Brenda’s lessons focus on technique, terminology, rhythmical nuances, stylizations and etiquette to get you ready for both social and stage dancing, enjoyment and professional pursuits alike.

BALLET and VARIATIONSBrenda Neville offers private lessons, coaching, audition preparation and choreography for students preparing for PPAS, LaGuardia and similar auditions as well as those with an interest in achieving specialized and advanced technical and artistic attention with their classical ballet technique.
Lessons are set up on an individualized basis with lesson plans tailored to each individual students needs. Pricing begins at $60/hour for private lessons and $80/hour for audition choreography and coaching plus studio rental fees. Contact dance@nevilledance.org for inquiries & bookings. |
FLAMENCO
Flamenco classes are a fun and excellent way to learn rhythm, full body movements, overall coordination, musicality and expression. Classes include palmas, braceo, marking and footwork, finishing with short dance combinations. Flamenco or hard soled shoes with solid heel suggested. Ladies wear long, loose skirt.

POINTE SHOE LECTURES & FITTINGS
Brenda Neville has been ‘keeping dancers on their toes’ for over twenty years by providing dancers from SAB, PNB, ABT, and schools and companies across the nation with personalized pointe shoe fittings, expert advice, and on site lectures. Brenda is available for lectures and fittings in person or via video call.
